Tomorrow I need to go to the store because I have to buy new shoes. Usually, I go to the store on the weekends. I work long hours and prefer to avoid the crowds and consumerism during the week. However, my shoes now have holes in them. I cannot wait until Saturday to replace them. Sometimes I can be cheap. I don't like to spend money unless I have to. I am this way because I like to save my money so that I can travel somewhere far and fun every summer.

I am making myself buy a new pair. I do not want to walk around with holes in my shoes. I wonder how much does a new pair of shoes costs these days? I don't know how to shop. My friends believe that I have no patience. My friend Amelia says that she has to accompany me to make sure that I really buy something. I don't want to hear her complain that I am cheap or stingy so I let her accompany me to the mall. She knows me well! I never know what to buy, and she helps me and keeps me from throwing in the towel.

As a reward for her patience, we go out to dinner afterwards. She always has to have a large glass of wine after we shop together. Perhaps she becomes too stressed out?
